About Tenaya
I’m Tenaya, a website designer and personal branding photographer based in Sonoma County, California. I’m also a dreamer, artist & intuitive.
Why do I do what I do? I firmly believe that each and every one of us has something special to share with the world. Your website? It’s not just a bunch of text, images and fonts – it’s a sacred vessel where you can pour out the work of your heart, showcasing your unique gifts and offerings, so your kindred clients will know you when they find you.
Designing websites isn’t just about making things look pretty (although I do love a gorgeous color palette!). It’s about tapping into the deeper powers of listening, intuition, and creativity and using them to help express your essence in digital form. I’ve honed my skills to help my clients see the bigger picture of their work and offerings, and I act as a caring guide to midwife your vision into your website.
A little about my journey – I attended the California College of the Arts and the California Institute of Integral Studies and spent my life following many creative passions (painting, collage, drawing). I have decades of experience in a variety of healing modalities (energy work, massage, therapy, reiki), and worked in the holistic health field managing a thriving chiropractic office for over 13 years. Connection with my dreams has been a guiding force in my life, and I am honored to support other people in exploring their connection with their dreams. I completed a 3 year Dream Teacher Training in Active Dreaming in 2018 with with dream teacher and author Robert Moss. For the past 7 years I’ve been weaving together my love for dreams, healing, art and intuition to create websites that truly speak to the soul.

5 Quirky Things About Me:
I’ve always been into the witchy and the woo. As a little girl, my favorite game was playing “witches”. I loved making plant “potions” with ivy and flower petals at my grandparent’s house in Santa Cruz, CA.
I’m a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). For most of my life I didn’t know this was a thing, I just knew that I seemed to feel and sense more than other people. I could read people’s emotions as well as the physical spaces I was in. I know now it’s one of my superpowers, and goes hand-in-hand with the rapture I feel taking in the beauty of the ocean or forest, artwork, or a song that completely sweeps me away. In my business, I use my high sensitivity and intuition to tune into my client’s energy and the unique essence of their offerings so I can create in resonance with their authentic energy.
I lived in the jungle at a yoga retreat center on the Big Island of Hawaii when I was 22. Almost very day I swam in the ocean, and rode my bike under majestic Ohia trees to the small town where I was painting a mural. I also did a lot of yoga, ate many coconuts, and floated in thermally-heated warm ponds under the stars with palm fronds gently rustling overhead. (Lots of sweet memories of this formative adventure!)
I’m a trained Dreamwork Practitioner and teacher. I’ve been into dreams since I was a little girl and began recording them before I could even write (I would dictate them to my mom). I love sharing this work with people in classes, workshops and private sessions. It’s a sacred and intimate experience guiding my clients and students into material that is bubbling from their most authentic selves, and supporting them to take tangible actions in daily life based on the messages their dreams are sending.
I’m a devoted plant person. I freely talk to the green friends I meet on my daily walks, I commune with trees, and I’m constantly sipping herbal tinctures, and flower essences. Totally an animist earth-worshipper over here!
