How are you holding up these days? It's been an intense month over here & I've been feeling a lot of sadness over needing to cancel holiday plans & missing family and friends because of the new Covid restrictions (which I totally support). I've been intentionally focusing on savoring moments of joy, beauty and celebration this season, even though things look so different this year.

My thoughts on the importance of having a strong website before you begin marketing
A few days ago I had a conversation with a web design client who was considering hiring a marketing expert to help with her business before she began working on her website. I shared with her that having a strong website is an important first step that should come before doing a lot of promotion/marketing. It's truly the foundation of any business, especially in this era of online offerings.
Having a website that clearly and compellingly expresses who you are and what you offer to your ideal clients is important to have in place before you begin marketing.This way, your marketing efforts will pay off because when potential clients visit your website they will really see you and get what makes you unique and special.
I understand what an overwhelming process creating a new website can be, and I'm passionate about guiding my clients through this process step by step so that they can enjoy the journey of defining their gifts and how they want to offer them to the world. I've been called a "web design midwife" and it really resonates for how I hold my role as a designer.

Taking Refuge in the Rose
This month I have been feeling the petal-softness of Rose bloom in my heart~ Using Al-Kemi's Magistry of Rose Spagyric over the last 15 years has brought me into a whole new depth of communion with this most powerful, graceful, strong and nurturing flower sprit. And so yummy! For all of my Dream Salon friends out there, this was one of my magic secret ingredients in many an elixir water! (And also may have been used on sweet Tom in a love potion! shhhh...don't tell!) ;-) 🌹🕯🌹
And speaking of sweet Tom, here we are a few weeks ago on the Sonoma Coast for an enchanting sunset & full moon hike.
Do you feel SLUGGISH on dark winter days?
Even though I live in sunny California, as soon as September hits and the light begins to change & the days get shorter, my mood drops lower and lower and I crave sunlight.
Using a full-spectrum Happy Light has made all the difference!
I have it on in the morning while I work on the computer, and as a bonus it's great filler light for Zoom calls. Full Spectrum light helps regulate our natural circadian (sleep/wake) rhythm and can help fend off the winter blues.
