April New Moon Playlist

I'm so excited to share this month’s New Moon Playlist~ 🌚 🌝

A nostalgic romp through the landscape of my childhood & teen years in the 80’s & 90’s.

🌸 Music has always been a fundamental part of my life & some of my favorite childhood memories are of when my mom would roll up the carpet in the living room and put on her Madonna records so I could rock out!

🌟Over the last year I’ve found it comforting & grounding to revisit music from my past selves, so I was inspired to do something a little different with this month’s playlist & invite you for a walk down my memory lane.

💗There’s lots of different genre’s & vibes represented, everything from early Madonna to Cocteau Twins to Arrested Development to Massive Attack. I encourage you to listen all the way through, and I'd LOVE to hear what your favorite songs are (just reply to this email)!

🖐 And yes, this is me with jazz hands circa 1990 around age 12! 😂

Client Spotlight: Astrid Koltun Somatic Psychotherapy

I’m delighted to announce my newest website design for Astrid Koltun, a Somatic Psychotherapist specializing in body-based techniques to address anxiety, grief, trauma and nervous system regulation.

I’ve known Astrid for over a decade from the dance community, and after dancing together, her warm caring presence always left me feeling grounded and nurtured, so we consciously wove this energy into every part of her new website.

Astrid focuses a lot of her work on helping teens navigate the tender phase of life they are in, finding their truth, clarifying values, and discovering how they relate to others.

She also helps parents of teens (especially HSP or Highly Sensitive People) on the unique journey of parenting this chapter with grace & loving, firm boundaries.

Please check out Astrid’s new site & reach out if you need support (if you are located in California)! The gorgeous painting used (with permission) on the homepage is by Sarah Stewart of Rattlesnakes and Rainbows. Her work is seriously magical!

My painting teacher, Flora Bowley has a new book out, the Art of Aliveness

My beloved painting teacher, Flora Bowley just published her newest book, the Art of Aliveness. It's inspiring, soul-feeding, and just the medicine for life right now.

I got to attend two workshops with Flora in Portland a few years ago, and I still carry with me many of the lessons she shared, which apply not only to painting, but to everyday life. I highly recommend this wonderful book for anyone wanting to breathe more deeply into living in their own innate creativity and aliveness.

I got a chance to visit my mom & grandma this month after a year and a half (thank goddess!) and I wanted to leave you with a picture of these magnificent cherry blossoms from Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon. Aren't they so pretty?

Sending you the many-petaled blessings of Spring,
Tenaya
